Nederland Taps Its First Bucktoberfest on Boston Avenue Saturday

Tap Dance : The cask gets tapped at noon, then a costume contest at 2, a kids' balloon toss at 3, wurst eating at 4 and steinholding at 5.
Block Party : Buckstin runs it with neighbors Butchers Korner and Blanc on Boston, plus kids' activities from The Arc of Greater Beaumont. Lederhosen and dirndls highly encouraged.

Magician Kevin Spencer Brings a Sensory-Inclusive Show to Orange

Sense Of Wonder : The Lutcher built it to welcome kids with autism or other sensory sensitivities, and their families.

October 11, 1915 : The Texas Woman's Fair, billed as the first of its kind in the world, opened near Houston City Hall for six days of needlework, canning and art exhibits. Visitors also heard talks on pasteurizing milk, sanitary baking, gardening and livestock care.
